A Beautiful Holiday House in Spain
WelcomeWelcome to our returning and future customers, who are seeking a relaxing break in 2010, with rent from £230 per week.
The Other Costa BlancaThe House is situated in a quiet small town in the Costa Blanca called Xaló (pronounce shallow!). Xaló is situated in the Xaló valley, inland and away from the tourist beaches.
Its position on the eastern edge of the Marina Alta mountains means it is ideal for lovers of outdoor activities and those who want a break from their hectic lifestyle.
There is much to do in this beautiful location and following the ancient footpaths, built across the mountains during the decades of Moorish occupation, is ideal if you enjoy walking, bird watching or fresh air. The views you get from the footpaths include the vista across the mountain range and towards the sea. On a clear day you can see as far as the white isle of Ibiza, but you can never hear it!
.......Of course if the peace and quiet is too much then you can always drive the 20 minutes to the tourist beaches.
The HouseThe house is situated in the new Valle del Paraiso estate on the south facing slopes of the hills just to the north side of Xaló. The views from the house include the mountains on the south side of the Jalon Valley.
The house is in a small group of traditional style houses surrounding their own swimming pool. The style is typical of the mix of traditional and modern that you often find on the Costa Blanca.

The settee can be opened out into a fifth bed suitable for a child. The room looks out through double patio doors onto a covered terrace complete with outdoor table and chairs.
The back garden faces south, is finished with gravel and includes three trees an olive, a lemon and a tacomens (a Valenciano name for which we don't know the Castillian or English!).
From the lounge dining room stairs go up to the first floor landing. There are three doors off the landing and a large wardrobe space for the south facing back bedroom.
The door to your right, as you stand at the top of the stairs, leads to the bathroom, which is furnished with a suite consisting off a bidet, bath (with shower over), WC and wash basin.
The door straight leads to the front double bedroom. This room has a pair of twin beds, a single side table, a fitted double wardrobe and window to the north.
The door to the left leads to the second double bedroom. This room is furnished with a king size double bed, side tables and a chest of drawers. Both bedrooms have floor rugs and overhead integral fans. This south facing bedroom has a glazed door to a small terrace giving fine views to the mountains and valley. This terrace has integral window boxes planted with local herbs. Please pick the herbs in season for use with your cooking.
All the windows have double glazing; the two bedrooms are fitted with outside integral blinds and the remainder have the traditional style with exterior cord ties. The floors are tiled throughout the house, which gives the advantage of being cool on hot Costa Blanca days (there are many!) and easy to clean.
